EDUCATION:

PhD Program in Mathematics, University of Tennessee - Knoxville
BA in Mathematics and Physics, Wofford College - Spartanburg, SC

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Scope, LLC, Visual Basic Software Developer

Developed and integrated a suite of Visual Basic programs for a commercial forecasting software company. Several Demand Replenishment Planning (DRP) modules were developed and licensed as a inventory and replenishment planning option for their forecasting system.

Institute of Textile Technology - Charlottesville, Virginia

Senior Programmer-Project Specialist in Manufacturing Analysis

Developed large-scale transaction processing and decision support databases for manufacturing test data, process specification surveys, and library abstract management information systems.

Other duties previously included managing a research project to develop techniques for computer simulation of textile processes. Several models were designed and developed and delivered to the plants on a consulting basis.

Assistant Professor and Manager Management Systems

Managed a research project to develop a manufacturing performance analysis system to determine optimum selling plans for marketing and optimum machine loadings at all manufacturing processes. This system was made plant-ready and delivered to plants on a consulting basis.

Other duties included teaching courses in statistical quality control and industrial engineering job assignments, and thesis advising to the graduate students doing work in this area.

Assistant Professor and Project Manager Management Systems

Managed a research project to develop a manufacturing performance analysis system for process control that tracks process and product information by machine by shift making actual versus standard comparisons, and maintains a knowledge base for machine information on production, quality, and maintenance.

Assistant Professor and Manager Management Sciences

Managed a research project to develop a manufacturing performance analysis system for production and inventory planning that projects and analyzes impact of multi-week production plans and shipment plans to determine the inventory projections.

Manager Computer Systems Technology

Managed a research project to develop a manufacturing performance analysis system for weekly schedules of current orders .

Associate and Head Data Processing

Managed the data processing department. Other duties included teaching courses in statistics and industrial engineering job assignments, and thesis advising to the graduate students on statistical problems.

General Electric Company - Lynchburg, Virginia, Mathematician - Advance Engineering

Main duties were to design and develop computer software for electrical engineering use. Other duties included teaching a statistics course to electrical engineers.

Randolph Macon Women's College - Lynchburg, Virginia, Mathematics Instructor

Taught a one semester course in Differential Equations.

Wofford College - Spartanburg, SC, Mathematics Instructor

Taught mathematics courses at all levels, freshman through senior.

University of Tennessee - Knoxville, TN, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Mathematics Department

Taught freshman courses in mathematics
